BakerCorp serves customers in over 15 industries including oil and gas, industrial and environmental services, refining, environmental remediation, construction, chemicals, transportation, power and municipal works. The company also works with customers to deliver a mix of products and services for a wide variety of applications that include: chemical, manufacturing, refining, construction, municipal, industrial services, environmental remediation, power generation, tank terminal/pipeline operations, transportation, mining, electronics and wastewater.



Field Operations Supervisor



Essential Functions

  • Manage staffing schedules to achieve optimal operational coverage with a high degree of safety in mind

  • Conduct “Start of Day Meeting” and ensure compliance with Safety and OSHA regulations

  • Monitor safety, technical and regulatory compliance

  • Manage Driver qualification compliance

  • Responsible for performance and talent management of direct reports

  • Approve timecards for direct reports

  • May act as Project Services Manager on large service jobs

  • May be responsible for job profitability and customer communication around items such as: equipment cleaning or damage issues, scope changes, change orders, etc.

  • May be responsible for various sales support activities such as: job walks, assisting & directing Job setup; identifying and communicating Change Orders with customer & Sales Rep.; development of equipment/loading lists; First Call for Field Service Requests ; site visits and audits

  • Assist in quoting and coordinating special projects for Containment, Pumps, Filtration and Shoring

  • May be responsible for documenting Project Lessons Learned and submitting to BOM & Sales Rep.

  • Monitor all required training for direct reports to include safety, technical and regulatory training

  • May dispatch drivers to customer job sites and be responsible for monitoring and maintaining EOBR billable hours

  • Manage Unscheduled/Scheduled Service Board

  • Manage spent and waste media

  • May communicate with customers on pickup and delivery times

  • Review and process order forms and contracts

  • Maintains PPE availability

  • Perform all branch operations essential duties as needed

  • All other duties as assigned



Working Conditions

  • Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard and shop locations.

  • Working during inclement weather

  • Working on uneven ground and near various types of equipment in all types of weather.

  • Working underneath equipment. Exposure to the outdoors, extreme weather conditions, dirt, and fumes.

  • Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Heavy work:  Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects

  • Use hands/fingers to handle or feel (operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, position)

  • Ability to move distances within & between warehouses/offices/field locations

  • Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (ascend/descend, work atop, traverse)

  • Ability to mount & dismount forklift and/or truck

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word

  • Working knowledge of trucks and other yard equipment

  • Knowledge of DOT/OSHA compliance

  • Knowledge of inventory management

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi‐task.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.

  • Ability to work with all levels of the Company.

  • Comfortable working in a hands‐on environment

  • High energy level, strong sense of ethics, discretion and adherence to process

  • Ability to be on‐call 24 hours per day, when scheduled

  • Ability to make occasional overnight trips

  • Ability to drive at licensing level deemed necessary for branch

  • Ability and willingness to seek out areas for improvement and solve problems

  • Operate fork lift, as needed



Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred



Experience & Other

  • 3‐5 years of supervisory related experience, required

  • Rental/industrial experience is helpful

  • State-Issued Driver’s License

  • Working knowledge of computer systems & processes

  • Supervisory experience with knowledge of employment practices
