The company maintains a rental fleet consisting of more than 20,000 units, including steel tanks, polyethylene tanks, roll-off boxes, pumps, pipes, hoses and fittings, filtration units, tank trailers, berms and trench shoring equipment. BakerCorp serves customers in over 15 industries including oil and gas, industrial and environmental services, refining, environmental remediation, construction, chemicals, transportation, power and municipal works. The company also works with customers to deliver a mix of products and services for a wide variety of applications that include: chemical, manufacturing, refining, construction, municipal, industrial services, environmental remediation, power generation, tank terminal/pipeline operations, transportation, mining, electronics and wastewater.

Broad Function

Supervise operations team activities recommending improvements to increase efficiency and meet financial objectives and ensure optimal service and quality to branch customers.

Essential Functions

  • Manage day‐to‐day activities of operations employees which include (Technicians, Drivers, Mechanics, Welders, Operations Specialist and Administrative Specialist) with a goal of safe and effective field operations
  • Close collaboration with Region Sales Manager, Sales Representatives, Region EH&S Manager, and Region Business Process Leader.
  • Manage staffing schedules to achieve optimal operational coverage with a high degree of safety in mind
  • Report regularly to Branch Operations Manager
  • Monitor safety and regulatory compliance Conducting Safety meetings and insure compliance with safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Design a water transfer system or rig setups, using set parameters
  • Operate fork lift as needed
  • Responsible for communicating with customers on service level expectations.  Coordinating deliveries/pick-ups, change orders, service issues, etc.  Drive service excellence at the branch level with the goal of meeting/exceeding customer expectations.
  • Oversee proper QMS of equipment
  • Control costs and expenses of operations; fleet optimization, equipment repair, facilities repairs.  Regular review of inventory for proper level and control. 
  • Assist branch manager with hiring, discipline, and termination of personnel
  • Procure tools and equipment necessary to complete work tasks
  • Dispatch drivers to customer job sites and monitor and maintain billable hours
  • Communicate with customers on pickup and delivery times
  • Inspect equipment on a consistent basis per company policy to ensure quality
  • Coordinate repairs of all equipment and manage equipment inventory
  • Review and process rental agreements
  • Maintain and manage Wynne System for work orders, TIR, QMS, rental equipment repairs, and inventory
  • Monitor safety and regulatory compliance
  • Assist in quoting and coordinating special projects for Containment, Pumps, Filtration and Shoring
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Perform all branch operations essential duties as needed
  • Maintaining contact and relationships with vendors to maintain cost effectiveness
  • Working Conditions
  • Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard and shop locations.
  • Working during inclement weather
  • Working on uneven ground and near various types of equipment in all types of weather.
  • Working underneath equipment. Exposure to the outdoors, extreme weather conditions, dirt, and fumes.
  • Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Heavy work: Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Use hands/fingers to handle or feel (operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, position)
  • Ability to move distances within and between warehouses/offices/field locations

Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of DOT/OSHA compliance
  • Knowledge of inventory management
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi‐task.

  • Comfortable working in a hands‐on environment
  • High energy level, strong sense of ethics, discretion and adherence to process
  • Ability to be on‐call 24 hours per day
  • Ability to make occasional overnight trips
  • Ability to drive at licensing level deemed necessary for branch
  • Ability and willingness to seek out areas for improvement and solve problems
Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Preferred or equivalent experience
Experience & Other

  • 3‐5 years of industrial experience required
  • Dispatching experience
  • Previous experience with working in a refinery or chemical plant, required.
  • Rental/industrial experience is helpful
  • State Issued Driver’s License.
  • Working knowledge of Wynne/AS 400 system preferred
  • Supervisory experience with knowledge of employment practices
