BakerCorp serves customers in over 15 industries including oil and gas, industrial and environmental services, refining, environmental remediation, construction, chemicals, transportation, power and municipal works. The company also works with customers to deliver a mix of products and services for a wide variety of applications that include: chemical, manufacturing, refining, construction, municipal, industrial services, environmental remediation, power generation, tank terminal/pipeline operations, transportation, mining, electronics and wastewater.

Broad Function

This position is responsible for managing the delivery of full life cycle recruiting and staffing for a range of internal clients assigned.  This role will provide a full range of talent acquisition services to source, generate leads, attract, screen, recruit, and select external and/or internal qualified talent.  The Sr. Recruiter will also consult with internal clients on market trends, competitive intelligence and recruiting strategies in order to enhance organizational performance and add value to the business.  

Essential Functions

  • Develops recruitment strategies to proactively search for a diverse pool of candidates using advanced sourcing techniques including search engines, social networks, job boards, user groups, competitive intelligence, database and direct recruiting techniques to build a pipeline of talent. Identify unique and non-traditional sources to find highly skilled and specialized candidates.

  • Responsible for processing a high volume of calls to and from candidates on a daily, weekly and month basis.

  • Extends offers/agreements verbally and follow up on all paperwork including contract, background checks, and dates for training.

  • Presents candidates strengths and weaknesses to hiring managers.

  • Package and sells a “Career Defining Opportunity” to mid and senior level candidates.

  • Understands the growth, trends and challenges in regions/markets.

  • Provide a high level of customer service in consulting with and guiding hiring managers in comprehensive recruitment and staffing issues, policies and processes.

  • Establish, cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with hiring managers in order to understand the branch/department recruitment needs, business objectives and work culture.

  • Develop an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate.

  • Participate in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.

  • Anticipate talent needs and develops a staffing planning accordingly, workforce planning and diversity initiative for functional areas of development sourcing strategies and build candidate pool and prepare for forecasted organizational staffing needs.

    Additions Responsibilities

  • Perform other job related duties and projects as assigned.

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard and shop locations.  Working on uneven ground near various types of equipment in all types of weather.  Working underneath equipment.  Exposure to the outdoors, extreme weather conditions, dirt, and Utilization of Personnel Protective Equipment is necessary.
Physical Requirements

  • Lifting Requirements

    • Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.If the use of arm/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.

Job Qualifications

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

    Experience & Other

  • 5-7 years’ experience

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and engagements simultaneously

  • Demonstrated project management, time management and organization skills

  • Proven experience serving as a liaison between hiring managers and third party agencies

  • Strong teamwork orientation

  • Exceptional ability to identify and sourcehi-potential candidates

  • Vendor management experience is a plus

   Required skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management

  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); preferably Taleo

  • Must have full life cycle recruiting experience

  • Experience building networks to find qualified candidates

  • Convey information effectively in written, oral and electronic communications
