The company maintains a rental fleet consisting of more than 20,000 units, including steel tanks, polyethylene tanks, roll-off boxes, pumps, pipes, hoses and fittings, filtration units, tank trailers, berms and trench shoring equipment. BakerCorp serves customers in over 15 industries including oil and gas, industrial and environmental services, refining, environmental remediation, construction, chemicals, transportation, power and municipal works. Industrial Sales Rep 

Territory:  Orange County


  Essential Functions - Duties may include the following as needed:

  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.

  • Develop assigned territory via prospecting, cold-calling, qualifying leads, following up on referrals, setting up appointments and making sales presentations

  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions

  • Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support

  • Must target prospects and turn prospects into customers.

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers

  • Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use and operation of rental equipment

  • Provide technical support activities related to  filtration systems, tanks, pumps, pipes and hoses at job sites

  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales revenue

  • Maintain company/contact information and document all customer visits and business opportunities in Salesforce

  • Customer Relationship Management system

  • Meets assigned expectations for profitability

  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards

  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned timeframe

  • Clear understanding of safety requirements and acceptance of safety sensitive culture


Working Conditions

  • Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard and shop locations

  • Working on uneven ground and near various types of equipment in all types of weather

  • Working underneath equipment

  • Exposure to dust and noise

  • Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary



Physical Requirements/ Lifting Requirements:

            Medium work – Lifting and/or moving to 40 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.   

Other Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move distances Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse)

  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, squat or crawl (Position self (to), Move)

Job Qualifications / Skills & Abilities:

  • High energy, entrepreneurial–spirited self-starter

  • Strong interpersonal skills, have a strong sense of integrity, excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong presentation skills. Should be comfortable presenting to all levels within an organization.

  • Proven track record of prior goal achievement showing increase in sales and customer growth

  • Proven problem-solving skills

  • Strong technical aptitude, mechanically inclined

  • Produce plans of action, summaries, and customer reports as needed

  • Participate in safety, technical, and product knowledge training

  • Some overnight travel may be required



  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree or Associate’s Degree preferred


Experience & Other:

  • 3 years outside sales experience

  • Rental and/or industrial outside sales experience preferred

  • State Issue Driver’s License

  • Experience using a CRM, preferably SalesForce

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
