BakerCorp is an industry leader in temporary containment tanks, pump, filtration and shoring equipment rental solutions and is looking for a leader in sales/business development to continue the company’s unparalleled record of strong, sustained growth. The company is expanding its mobile water treatment technology filtration business and has invested in patented technology that offers a unique solution to a very large market.  In this role, the Strategic Account Application Development Engineer will target Petrochemical and Oil & Gas companies, selling a total solution package with the focus on advanced technology filtration.  

The position is focused on targeting new customers, presenting our unique technology and closing large dollar transactions. BakerCorp's Strategic Accounts sales unit offers an exciting environment with a proven track record of success to forge a bright and fulfilling career. Baker's Strategic Account group is responsible for the support and growth of large, strategic accounts through consistent interaction with key corporate decision makers and collaboration with our local sales teams.

Functional Expertise:

You have a minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in large scale filtration sales; preferable in O&G, Petrochemical and/or remediation, a confident demeanor and successful sales track record. You are accustomed to pursuing many prospective accounts at the same time. You have a track record of producing organic growth and increasing sales. As an expert in your field, you are comfortable interacting with people at all levels and across functions. Your business expertise aids you in determining priorities and defining strategy as it relates to new business development.  Your understanding of the industry and customers business provides insight into developing value­ added service solutions that deliver results for your client.


You show mastery in communicating ideas, value and technical information. You are comfortable networking with C-level and other senior leaders to translate organizational goals into a sales strategy. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation skills. Negotiation is one of your strengths, as you are able to clearly define and articulate the pivotal points of the business deal, helping all stakeholders to understand the value of your offer.


You are committed to uncovering new ways to grow your business and are able to do so strategically. Your experience in sales has enabled you to determine the best way to expand your network.

You have strong analytical skills and are results oriented, yet you maintain the ability to think strategically, including synthesizing large volumes of data into concise, well-presented recommendations.

Leadership/Drive for Results:

You are an energetic, results driven leader that knows how to plan, prioritize and influence customers.  You are able to collaborate and utilize internal resources to identify and consistently develop new business.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning and driving new business growth to achieve revenue objectives

  • Consistently building and advancing a high quality pipeline of opportunities

  • Develop strong relationships and influence high-level corporate contacts and decision making committees

  • Communicating a highly technical product that can uniquely solve diverse customer problems

  • Understanding of Baker's complete product lines and application in mobile filtration

  • Leadership to plan and guide multi-person selling approach that includes utilizing various Baker team members (Safety, local sales, operations, technical & senior level leaders) in your pursuit to close new business

  • 30% - 50% Travel
