The company also works with customers to deliver a mix of products and services for a wide variety of applications that include: chemical, manufacturing, refining, construction, municipal, industrial services, environmental remediation, power generation, tank terminal/pipeline operations, transportation, mining, electronics and wastewater.

 

Regional Sales Manager

 

Broad Function

  • Serves to oversee the day-to-day sales activities and results of all sales associates within a Region. In addition to directing and coaching a sales team to achieve sales and profit goals

 

Essential Functions

  • Manage and inspire regional sales team in the East Region

  • Close collaboration with Regional Leadership team including regular report our responsibility. (Dotted line to General Manager)

  • Responsible to drive execution on strategic sales initiative (Total Solution Selling/CRM Compliance, Strategic Account collaboration

  • Day-to-day management and coaching of regional sales team

  • Assign accounts and coverage plan to local sales team and drive accountability. Work with team to develop account level plans to drive growth & share gain

  • Participate in development and implementation of strong sales processes, approaches, tools, and metrics.

  • Attract, retain and develop next generation of sales talent through implementation of a combination of continued process of coaching, training and learning in all aspects of their activities with scheduled reviews of target actions and annual goals to maintain focus on alignment

  • Responsible for developing and managing high level relationships with key National & Regional customers

  • Serve as an effective representative of the company to external constituencies

  • Coordination – Adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions

  • Ability to drive at licensing level deemed necessary by management

 

   Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree

 

  Experience & Other

  • 7 + years of experience in selling, sales management, strategic planning & customer relations essential

  • Industrial marketplace experience desired. Equipment rental experience a plus

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation & overall communication skills essential
  • Familiarity with sales through a distribution network is desired

  • Demonstrated ability to create a vision and drive change, as well as an ability to work within larger organizational objectives

  • Ability to travel (25 %+) essential  

  • Computer literacy in MS Windows, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
