Broad Function

Responsible for the safe, successful implementation of the Water Treatment Technology (WTT) Line’s projects in the field, through planning, management and support of BakerCorp equipment and assets, Technical Service Engineers, field sales team, other field operations team and end users.

Essential Functions

  • Plan, prepare, and execute field projects including logistics management, staffing, mobilization, site setup, commissioning/startup, operations, decommissioning/demobilization, reporting, and essential communication with end users.

  • Evaluate and manage project and overhead costs to optimize profitability.

  • Coordinate with WTT Engineering group to improve planning, designs, equipment specs, product development, SOPs, reporting, and troubleshooting. Provide and evaluate suggestions for improvement, implement/support as needed.

  • Manage direct reports/Technical Service Engineers, ensure compliance with all company policies and SOPs.

  • Responsible for the recruiting, training, mentoring, disciplinary actions, performance management, time off management for all direct reports.  Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Provide technical sales/application support to the field sales team, technical operational support to the field operations team, direct interaction with key accounts, support the regional product managers.

  • As needed, provide or support Filtration training programs, technical presentations to customers and engineering firms, market development, computer modeling, trouble shooting of projects, pricing quotations, asset movement and management, vendor interaction.

  • Provide technical support to all corporate and field staff, as it relates to the product line.

  • Responsible for the budget, revenue goals, growth plans and geographic expansions. Report WTT revenue each month.

  • Coaching skills to develop direct reports and/or other employees by providing constructive feedback that results in enhanced performance.

  • Additions Responsibilities

  • Perform other job related duties and projects as assigned.

  • Working Conditions

  • Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard and shop locations.  Working on uneven ground near various types of equipment in all types of weather.  Working underneath equipment.  Exposure to the outdoors, extreme weather conditions, dirt, and Utilization of Personnel Protective Equipment is necessary.
  • Position requires a minimum of 50% travel with some time periods of extended travel away from home base.

    • Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.If the use of arm/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.

  • Chemical, mechanical, analytical and engineering skills

  • Strong sales and excellent customer service interaction skills

  • Leadership of cross functional and matrix organizations

  • Safety and EH&S knowledge

  • Understanding of commercial aspect of delivering a highly technical product to diverse customers and markets

  • Process Engineering and Field Operation

  •     Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, Engineering or Operations Management

  •     Experience & Other

  • 7 plus years’ experience

  • Proficient in MS Office Suites

  • Experience with SalesForce.com

  • Full understanding of chemistry, water & air treatment, sales processes and opportunity development
