The company maintains a rental fleet consisting of more than 20,000 units, including steel tanks, polyethylene tanks, roll-off boxes, pumps, pipes, hoses and fittings, filtration units, tank trailers, berms and trench shoring equipment. BakerCorp serves customers in over 15 industries including oil and gas, industrial and environmental services, refining, environmental remediation, construction, chemicals, transportation, power and municipal works. The company also works with customers to deliver a mix of products and services for a wide variety of applications that include: chemical, manufacturing, refining, construction, municipal, industrial services, environmental remediation, power generation, tank terminal/pipeline operations, transportation, mining, electronics and wastewater.

 

 

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

Territory Options:  Riverside/San Gabriel Valley/Inland Empire and over to Palm Springs/Indio area OR the greater Los Angeles area

Industry Focus:  Construction / Water Well Drilling / Environmental Services / Pumping / Filtration / Bypass

 

Broad Function:  The Business Development Representative are focused on accelerating profitable territory growth through prospects and a small base of existing Baker customers.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Supports & practices all safety principles (BakerZero) internally & externally

  • Develops new sales opportunities from start to finish with prospective, former & existing customers.

  • Achieves unit volume, revenue and market share goals set by manager

  • Builds relationships with prospects and customers to deliver first time & repeat business

  • Builds customized project solutions, utilizing various internal resources to complete/deliver

  • Demonstrates effective account management and pipeline management in CRM (SFDC)

  • Is accountable to the collection of accounts receivable within company terms

  • Teamwork & communication with operations to safely deliver high quality service at profitable rates

  • Resolves problems with customers and internal team members

  • Works with RSM to develop annual sales strategic plan and individual quarterly revenue budget / account plans

 

Working Conditions:

  •   Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard and shop locations

  •   Working on uneven ground and near various types of equipment in all types of weather

  •   Working underneath equipment 

  •   Exposure to dust and noise

  •    Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary

  • Computer literacy with a CRM (i.e. SFDC) and Microsoft Office applications & Outlook

  • Needs to be self-starter and someone who feels ownership for activities and results

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

 

Experience & Other

  • 3+ years outside sales experience 

  • Experience selling and building territory from scratch
  • Experience making cold calls

  • Experience growing a territory and existing accounts through referrals

  • Knowledge & understanding of rental market is a plus

  • State Issue Driver’s License
